The new release of Persyst ESI Powered by Epilog is successfully approved for CE marking for Class IIa devices under the EU Medical Device Regulation. And it doesn't stop there, the approval extends to our QMS system making it simpler and faster for us to bring other Class IIa devices to market.

Red Devil, Jan Vertonghen co-invests in Ghent-based scale-up to expand groundbreaking epilepsy AI technology to sleep and other neurological disorders. Epilog, a Medtech company providing brain wave analysis services for clinical practice and clinical trials has raised one million euros to market its Epilog Care technology package worldwide. The Ghent scale-up aims to make it easier to detect and treat epilepsy, sleep problems, and other brain conditions with electroencephalogram (EEG) analysis. Jan Vertonghen, Belgian professional footballer playing for the Belgium national team, who lost his father to epilepsy, is one of the new investors.
Interesting new publication on Electrical Source Imaging of epileptic seizures from our CTO Pieter van Mierlo and friends from Geneva! This review article addresses the importance of localizing the seizure onset zone based on noninvasive EEG recordings as a complementary analysis that might reduce the burden of the presurgical evaluation. Despite the various challenges which have withheld the clinical usage, there are finally new solutions on the horizon bringing Ictal ESI next to Interictal ESI in clinical practice
